Our tour guide, Anna, was remarkable: knowledgeable and funny. There’s so much we would have missed if we hadn’t been in the tour!
Warsaw Historic Centre was, by far, the best walking tour I’d ever take. Jack was brilliant, sharp, and funny when it came to the history of the city, and went beyond by explaining little things about polish culture and language. If you would like to enjoy more Warsaw while you are walking on the streets, this tour is mandatory.
The tour was generally interesting and in-depth but there was a moment that threw me. The tour guide stated that in the interwar period Jewish people had the majority of wealth in Germany which was a factor that lead to the Holocaust. I’m not sure if the tour guide realises this is anti Semitic propaganda. There are no definite numbers but the current consensus stands that Jewish people (who were around 1% of the population) owned 0.75 of German wealth.
