Big beautiful churches, nice Baroque palaces, grand theatre buildings, and many other places… that you will NOT see on this tour! 😉 Why? Because Berlin is way more than that. Berlin is a European capital of alternative lifestyle and street art! So on this tour, you will explore very different aspects of the German capital. You will be taken to various corners and nooks where most tourist never go.
After this 3-hour tour, you will discover a new city of Berlin. You will know why it is called a “cultural melting pot”. You will learn about the impact of Berlin’s music scene. Furthermore, you will be able to decipher some hidden messages of different graffiti and murals around the city. You will witness squat life very close to the centre of Berlin.
Our Alternative Berlin tour will allow you to feel the true vibe of Berlin!

Our guide was the Canadian guy Chris, and he was an amazing guide. Told us a lot about the interesting street art, culture, and social life in Berlin. But the most insightful were the stories about how Berlin’s citizens tried to make – or keep – the city “nice for people”, such as crowdfunding to keep an African/Carribean food market/nightclub collective alive in the city centre. As Chris said, Berlin may not be as beautiful and economically prosperous as some expect, but “it’s the people tha make Berlin”.
Great insight in the Berlin streetart scene and history. Can recommend!
Our tour guide Xavier gave a fascinating insight into the history, present and potential future of the tolerant, alternative scene in Berlin. I found the explanation of street art in Kreuzberg especially interesting! I would definitely book the tour again!
Xavier was an amazing tour guide. He was very informative and had a good sense of humor throughout the tour. The only area of improvement would be to start the tour an hour earlier, since the night falls around 4 pm being that it’s winter, making it difficult to see some of the pieces of art. Nevertheless, book today because you will not be disappointed!
Really enjoyed our tour with Tina. I learned a lot about the art scene and saw a lot of artwork I otherwise wouldn’t have paid much attention too. Would recommend
